Parkinson Real Estate is a specialist property consultancy focused on office space in the central Thames Valley area. The company was founded in 2011 and has been part of Parkinson Holt since its formation. Today the business is independent and privately owned and continues a high level of personal service to all its clients. We enjoy what we do and are passionate about our business and our service to clients.

Darren Parkinson

DIRECTOR

Darren started his property career at Campbell Gordon way back in 1987. Since then he has worked in the West End and for the last 25 years in Reading as a Partner and business owner of Fryer Gilbert & Jepps, Fryer Holt and most recently Parkinson Holt. He has also been involved with a number of smaller development companies and for a number of years was a Director and shareholder of Square Foot Consulting, a specialist occupy consultancy. Darren’s extensive experience has seen him navigate clients through property highs and lows with ever changing market conditions and technological advances that continue to offer exiting opportunities for the future.

In his spare time Darren enjoys spending time with his family and dogs at his home in South Oxfordshire. He is a keen sports person and has a passion for running, rugby, swimming and golf and is regular attendee of RUN Henley. He is also a long term supporter of Harlequins Rugby Club.

Derek Gilbert

Consultant

Derek has spent over 45 years advising clients across the Thames Valley on a wide range of property matters. His experience, extensive knowledge and grey hair offers a valuable resource and sounding board to Parkinson Real Estate. He now spends his time advising a number of Private Clients on strategic property matters across the home counties and continues to be one of the leading authorities on industrial and distribution space.

Derek is a seasoned traveller and a keen golfer and can often be found walking his dog with his wife in the Berkshire countryside.
